What AnimSync does today
Everything on this page works in the current release. Work that is planned is listed separately at the end.
Planning
- Projects, characters and skeletons
- Animation sets shared by several characters, each owning its requirements, core poses and relationships
- Requirements with planning state, priority, assignee, due date, target frames, loop and root-motion flags
- Composition: "Attack 03" made of Start, Active and Recovery
- Sequence, transition and interrupt relationships with priority, blend, condition and notes; rules checked as you connect
- Interactive graph per character or per set, with undo and redo, copy, paste and duplicate
Assets and versions
- Assets that fulfil one or more requirements, with a role and variant
- Immutable, numbered versions with the source file as published, its hash, provenance and lineage
- A preview file per version (GLB, glTF or FBX), for example a GLB with textures next to an FBX source
- Publishing from the web, or from scripts with the
sto publishcommand line sto scan: a local report of which DCC files match published versions- Skeleton and skeletal-mesh assets linked to planned skeletons and meshes
Review
- Frame-accurate MP4 and WebM review with timecode, in/out ranges and keyboard control
- Notes on a frame or range, replies, drawings, private drafts and verdict history
- 3D preview and review of glTF 2.0 and FBX 7.x: root motion, bone spaces, skin weights, 3D sketches
- Motion metadata from glTF: distance, speed, acceleration, rotation
- Placeholder review of a requirement before any asset exists
Production workflow
- A reviewer per asset; implementations with owner, status and the version they use
- "Behind" when a newer version exists, until a person records the update
- Derived to-do lists, a production overview, priorities and due dates with reminders
- An in-app inbox for assignments, new versions and verdicts
- Who is affected when an asset changes
Foundations
- Append-only history: published reviews, decisions and versions never change
- Archive and restore instead of delete
- Safe concurrent editing: stale changes are refused, not overwritten
- Organisations and per-project roles (viewer, contributor, lead, admin)
- Light, dark, Monokai and Twilight themes with five accents
